When are you coming back, darling? I brought Mother over to visit your mother, and they want to arrange a little soiree, which is quite encouraging. It's the first time Mother's really shown an interest in returning to society. They do remarkably well together, it seems.

You should have the photographers and statements for the finalists for our spokeswitch contest on your desks by this afternoon. Let's schedule something for early next week to choose one.

For all that we're grown ups now (well, some of us) and have left the trappings of childhood behind (again, some of us), there's something to be said about taking comfort in old childhood rituals, like staying up all night in your jammies talking and listening to the Wireless with friends.
